Content Delivery Options

Online via IASE
Although this isn’t a download option, it is the preferred option over others, especially in place of ordering a DVD, and should be used if it can satisfy your requirements.

Web-Based Training (WBT)
This download is intended for organizations wishing to install and run the course from their own Web Server versus other available options. In some cases, it may result in better performance running the course from a local system instead of from an external network. Click the appropriate link in the table below to download.

Download for burning to disc
These downloads (.zip files) are available as an option for users to either burn the course to a disc if they prefer. Choose the appropriate file for download, depending upon the intended host's operating system. Instructions for burning to a disc vary per operating system. Click here for those instructions.

Group Facilitator Guide (Available via PKI download)
Your organization’s leadership defines the conditions under which group facilitation may be used. Most users fulfill their Cyber Awareness Challenge requirement by completing the e-learning course independently, which is the recommended method of completion. However, there may be circumstances under which it is not practical for all users in an organization to take the e-learning course individually. Group facilitation allows multiple users to simultaneously complete their annual Cyber Awareness Challenge requirement when conditions do not reasonably allow users to fulfill the requirement on their own. Click the appropriate link in the table below.

Briefing (Available via PKI download)
Your organization’s leadership defines the conditions under which a briefing may be used. Most users fulfill their Cyber Awareness Challenge requirement by completing the e-learning course independently, which is the recommended method of completion. However, there may be circumstances under which it is not practical for all users in an organization to take the e-learning course individually. This briefing allows multiple users to simultaneously complete their annual Cyber Awareness Challenge requirement when conditions do not reasonably allow users to fulfill the requirement on their own. Delivery instructions and additional resources are included in the Briefing. Click the appropriate link in the table below.

Additional resources included are:

  • Handouts PDF - notes version of slides for distribution to the briefing recipients as needed.
  • Presenter notes PDF - contains instructions for presenting the briefing, the slides, speaker notes, a sample participant sign-in sheet, and sample certificates of completion.
  • Slides PDF - intended for projecting on screen, if possible.

Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) (Available via PKI download)
For DoD and Federal organizations only and for installation on United States Federal Government systems. SCORM is a technical standard that governs how online learning content and Learning Management Systems (LMSs) communicate with each other. An LMS can then deliver the training, track learning progress, and record completion of the training. An LMS administrator would be interested in downloading this file, not a standard user. Click the appropriate link in the table below to download SCORM.

SCORM 2004 and SCORM 1.2 available for:

  • DoD Employees (With Certificate of completion)
  • DoD Employees (Without Certificate of completion)
  • Intelligence Community (With Certificate of completion)
  • Intelligence Community (Without Certificate of completion)

Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) via postal mail
If other options to take the course (i.e., IASE, your local Learning Management System (LMS), or WBT on your local system) are not effective, you may request a DVD to be mailed to you. This is not the preferred option, however, if you determine the need for a DVD, follow the link in the table and provide all details in the email template, to include a detailed justification for requesting a DVD. Please note only CAC/PIV users with justification as to why any other method of receiving the course is not feasible will receive a DVD. Once all the information in the request is complete please digitally sign and send the email to the address provided within the template. It may take up to 10 business days to process your order. Instructions for launching the course from a DVD vary depending on operating system. Click here for those instructions.
